Man on the Street: Stephen Moyer

We are both amused and delighted by the sudden predilection for middle-aged male celebrities to work a look that's part "Our Gang" and part Oliver Twist. Amused because, well, Tom pretty much spent all of New York Fashion Week working a similar look, so we probably shouldn't judge this one too harshly. Delighted, because it's actually a really cute look. Okay, we probably shouldn't say "cute," because masculinity and yaddayaddayadda. But it IS cute, right? A classic newsboy cap looks great on a variety of men and with a variety of outfits. It can get a little precious at times, depending on how you pair it, but we think Stephen did a pretty decent job here. In fact, we really love this whole look. Celebrity or not, if a man walked past us looking like this, we'd turn our heads to judge him watch him pass. The jacket and scarf are pretty damn snappy. The jeans fit him perfectly. We're totally not sticklers about how jeans should fit because there are a variety of fits to choose from, but it's always nice when a guy figures out which cut is the best cut for him. And guys? A perusal of, well, anywhere, indicates that a lot of you haven't spent an afternoon trying on every cut of jean available just to find the right one for you. Do so.

Anyway, back to Stephen: great little cap, curiously refreshed face, super-cute studly scarf and jacket, jeans that fit him well and look comfortable. Since even we are not cynical enough to believe he paid a stylist to pick out an airport outfit for him, we have to commend him because this little getup indicates a man who knows how to put a look together.

He's gay.




Oh, we're just kidding. Calm down.
